For Chris: It was so good to hang out with you the last time I was in P-town...You're always the first person I come to see when I get home and the last person I hug before I leave. It's been awesome to be in such great touch with you these last few days, and I'm sure all your stuff with that dumb girl will get sorted out. Either she'll relize how great you are, or someone else will. You ARE OK alone as well, and it's up to you to decide what you truly want. Thanks for listening to me rant and rave about all my issues. nothing compares to you
I'm in my new house in Lexington. Andrea got a gorgeous 3 bedroom with plenty of room for guests and parties. I've been going out with her quite a bit since I got back into Lexington. She's in dental school now and all the dental students seem lively with their parties...I tag along. I've also been experimenting with cooking for my roommates...just some recipies from Mom's kitchen that I remember from growing up.
The other day, Andrea took me to work out at the new Johnson Center at UK. I was completely impressed with the new gym and the wide variety of classes. I will definately be getting in shape this fall and running quite a lot. It's a good stress relief and it helps me forget things that I don't want to remember anymore.
Erin came into town last night on her way to Paducah from Athens. She stopped off to spend the night and I took her to the Fishtank (a local bar). We ended up having Jello Shots and a few beers. It was really good to see her, especially since she's going to be in China for a year teaching English starting in September. That girl...I swear. Then again, I was in England for 6 months so I can't really say anything.
I put a map of England up on my door the other day and just sat there staring at it for a while. Looking at the names of all the cities I went to...staring at Preston and wondering how everyone there is...and half believing that I ever even went. It's been over 2 months now since I've been back and I swear it feels like I never left. I have these pictures of Kate and I in Italy, on the beach in France and Spain...pictures I took of the butterflies in Stratford...the daffodils in York...and I sometimes I barely believe I was there. I suppose it's because I spent so much of it alone. If I forget, it's not like I can just call someone to ask them what they remember. Thank God I kept such a detailed journal, else it would be lost.
I look in my passport and see all the stamps and wonder how long I will wonder around alone.
I'm just focusing on school starting ....I've got a year left before I have to make any big decisions.
