oh dear, it's been ages since I've updated...
I am happy to report that my life is on a complete upswing. It's a rainy day and I'm in my in my PJs enjoying some hot chocolate and checking my email. Classes are going well...I'm making good grades and feel like I'm really learning some cool stuff.
If you want to read something I've read that was in the Kentucky Kernel today, please visit www.kykernel.com and click on the "Moving to the Beat" link. I wish you all could have seen the paper today...the layout and photo guys did such a wonderful job on this piece. I'm proud to be able to include it in my portfolio. Special thanks as well to the dance ensemble for being so wonderful to interview.
My fall choir concert was last night. My dear buddy Matt and I went out for dessert afterward and he even let me drive his Mustang! What a wonderful night! Dr. Hetzel gave me a rose for my work as a section leader and vice president. I think the concert went really well...Paws and Listen and the Acousticats were amazing as always. I absolutely love the girls in my section (Alto 1) and can't wait to get to work on our CHRISTMAS concert!
Although the weather is starting to get colder and more damp, I'm really in high spirits. I've been working very hard in my Media Law class as well as my women's studies classes. Sometimes it's a struggle to just keep up with the reading (70-100 pages per night most of the time). It's quite exhausting. The things we read make me more aware of the historical aspects of feminism and social control. I suppose that's what it's all about, isn't it?
Just 2 more days of classes and then I'll have another weekend...I'm so looking forward to it!
As for now, the rain is making me want to curl up under a blanket and take a little cat nap, so I think I will. As soon as I wake up, it's back to the reading and writing of essays for me!
God bless!
