*saturday morning cartoons*
If left to my own device, I think my body naturally wakes itself up at about 11 a.m. It's quite strange. I've been able to sleep in several mornings this week, and every single time I've woken up on my own at around 11. Strange.
If you read my column, and I hope you did, I went to the Johnson Center yesterday and didn't notice a single scantily clad girl. This is the power of journalism, people. Surely some of those people read the article and thought, "Hey! I don't want to be the one girl who dresses like a hoochie!" It's analogous to turning a flashlight on a bunch of cockroaches. They scatter.
Kate and I ended up going to Krispy Kreme yesterday. Yes, I know. I ate doughnuts and then worked out. As long as I'm working out 4 days per week, I sort of let myself eat whatever I want. I'm in decent shape to begin with. Anyway, the point is that while eating doughuts and drinking milk, we drafted a letter to Adrian and Caroline. They owned a coffee shop in Preston called Brew. We've both been really bad about keeping in touch, so Kate and I extended the proverbial olive branch. I really hope to hear back from them. I think they were supposed to be getting married sometime this past December.
I think I'm going to go eat the last of my doughnuts with some hot chocolate and write in my journal. I'll eventually get motivated. I love Saturdays!

*in my opinion*
For everyone not attending UK and therefore without access to a real issue of the Kernel, check out www.kykernel.com. Click on the arts section to reveal my column of the day. Looks like I'm a columnist now, too!
Only one class today...2pm. After that, I'm meeting up with Kate Sachs. She's the girl that saw Europe with me and spent many a day and night at the University of Central Lancashire hanging out with me. We're going to hang out this afternoon and catch up!
Hope your New Year's Resolutions are going as well as mine are...

*back to school*
I'm back in the Kernel office for the last semester of my college career. I'm so close to graduation that I can taste it! My schedule is wonderful so far...I only have Linguistics on MWF for 50 minutes so that should be pretty easy. I'll work at my internship on those mornings before class. Tuesdays and Thursdays are always more difficult. I've got a 9:30-11:30 in Publications Productions. I'll be in the Kernel working between then and choir at 2pm. After that on Tuesdays, I'll have Ethics from 6-8:30 p.m. On Thursday nights I will have Advanced Writing for the Arts from 6:30 to 9 p.m. I don't necessarily think I'll enjoy being in class until 9pm but I'll have a diploma so very soon!
When I walked into the Journalism building yesterday for the first time in almost a month, I took a deep breath in and really enjoyed that musty stench. Just being down here in the Kernel feels like home. I'm taking on the responsibility of "On Tap Editor" of the Kernel Entertainment Guide (KEG). I'm getting to the point that I know nearly all of the people in my classes (especially Journalism). It's nice to walk in and have everyone say "HEY! How was your Christmas break?" It's convenient b/c I already have people to study with and whatnot.
I would like to point out that my friend Dariush is working on a column about herpes and recently acquired a cold sore. I think he's been doing a little too much research. I admire his dedication.
